SUMMARY:Medical Camp
DESCRIPTION:The Medical Camp organized by HOPE Organization aims to provide essential eye care and optical services to persons with disabilities and their family members in the Trincomalee District. The project focuses on identifying and treating common eye conditions such as short-sight\, long-sight\, cataracts\, and other vision impairments\, while also providing spectacles to those in need. A total of 100 beneficiaries from fifteen villages in Town & Gravats will be selected based on the severity of their eyesight problems. \nThis initiative addresses the challenges faced by vulnerable families who are unable to access medical care due to poverty\, limited awareness\, transportation barriers\, and the impacts of COVID-19. In collaboration with key stakeholders including Base Hospital Trincomalee\, Rural Development Societies\, Social Service Departments\, and the Divisional Secretariat\, the project seeks to improve vision health\, enhance quality of life\, and ensure accessible healthcare for marginalized communities in the Eastern Province.
